Šťastná doba osmdesátých let byla plná vnitřního soustředění – šlo to tehdy samo - dnes uprostřed ruchu nejrůznějších povinností není snadné vybojovat na sobě sílu k dílu. Vzpomínám, že Zdenka často odpočívala na pohovce v této poloze, což mně dávalo příležitost si kreslit bezpočet náčrtků i větších kreseb. Spolu se zimními výhledy z okna to dávalo bohaté odstíny nálad. Tato romantická olejomalba svými chladnými tóny jakoby předznamenala mé práce o mnoho let později. Hledal jsem stručný, lapidární symbol – nechtěná archaičnost mně nevadila, tušil jsem, že jednou dospěji k vlastnímu originálnímu stylu…

Loneliness - Winter Day

Happy period of eighties was full of internal concentration - It was at that time very happy constellation - now in the center of various responsibilities is not easy to win the strength to work. I remember that Zdenka often rested on the couch in this position, which gave me the opportunity to draw countless sketches and larger drawings. Along with winter views from the windows gave a variety of rich shades of moods. This romantic oil painting with its cool tones foreshadowed my work many years later. I was looking for a brief, terse symbol - some archaic shapes did not mind me -  I knew that one day I will reach my own original style ...
