Klíčové plátno devadesátých let – téma světla a mihotavých odstínů, které opalizují s lazurami a posouvají původně figurální tvar do roviny čistě volně pojaté abstrakce. Napětí plochy je docela dobře vidět v detailech. Občas si vzpomenu na El Greca, který si klidně uprostřed zakázkového díla udělal z mraků oblohy co chtěl. Potřeba snění a svobody, která je u současného člověka tak důmyslně potlačována, si najde vždy své skulinky. 

Pamatuji si, že během malby měla na mne plocha plátna až hypnotické účinky – nejsem přitom zastáncem žádných okultních teorií, zkušenosti nezávislé na smyslovém vjemu zde určitě jsou, ale tohle byla čistě slavnost barvy a ducha.  / Osobnosti renesančního záběru v našem českém prostředí byly vždy v pozici podezřelých individuí a jediná zdravá reakce byla patrně v příkladu hraběte Šporka, který ač humanista a znalec umění, člověk mnoha talentů, neváhal si dělat legraci z ustrnulých schémat doby… /

Ale zpět k obrazu. Nad tématem a zpracování přemýšlím řadu let – chtěl jsem se vyhnout všem zneužívaným klišé, zcela mimo čas a rušivých tlaků této doby, aby zůstalo jen to podstatné:  jen oko a  vjem barvy, která rytmizací v ploše nabývá na tajemnosti. Nedomnívám se, že by takový koncept byl jakkoliv jedinečný – jedinečná je naše osobní zkušenost, která je / jak věřím / alespoň částečně sdělitelná i neverbálními prostředky. Umění bez tajemství je ničím. Jsou zde zcela určitě pochody, které k tomuto cíli vedou a jsou záležitostí spíše intuice.  Nedůvěra v intuici v umění 20. století byla ovšem vždy sama o sobě iracionální…

Revelation

This is a key canvas of nineties - the theme of light and shadows that are melted with transparency and are making initially figural shape in a level of pure abstraction. Surface tension is quite easy to see in the details. Sometimes I think about El Greco, who painted in the middle of custom work abstraction from the clouds of the sky… The need of dreaming and freedom, which is in the case of today man so cleverly suppressed, always finds their ways …

I remember that during the painting space of canvas had to me almost hypnotic effects – now I must emphasize that I'm no advocate of occult theory. Experience, which is independent on sensory perception, was certainly there - but this canvas was purely a celebration of color and spirit. Renaissance Personalities in our Czech environment has always been in the position of suspicious individuals - and the only healthy reaction was probably in the example of Count Špork, who although a humanist and art connoisseur, a man of many talents, did not hesitate to make a fun from frozen time schemes...

But back to the painting. Above this topic and processing I was thinking  for many years - I wanted to avoid to all abused clichés , completely out of time, pressures and interference of this time, to keep only the essentials: the eye and the perception of color, which rhythm on the surface of canvas leades to mystery. I do not think that such a concept has been unique and original - unique is our personal experience, which is / as I believe / at least in part, communicable even by non-verbal means.  Art is nothing without the mystery. There are certainly processes that leads to this goal and are more or less a matter of intuition. Distrust in the intuition of arts of the 20th century, however, was always in itself irrational ...
